| Description | Here's a couple of pics of B&B getting close to harvest time. I must say this seedline has been a pleasure to grow from start to finish. Quite uniform in growth. It sexed nice and early. Didn't branch much and pretty much stuck to a single cola. Nice solid stalk and really didn't need much support. Smaller fan leaves that tended to not block light to lower buds. And the powdery mildew wasn't much of a concern with it. I hope it harvests as well as it grew.

| Comments | The production growers may want to look at this one, it should be a heavy early. Chemo's suspected polyploid nature causes it to just blast off when flowering is initiated, it's mind blowing. Chemo bud is potent with tremendous medical benefits but lack's character. Those suffering from insomnia and bipolar behaviour seem to gain a lot of benefit from my chemo mom. C99 improves the bud quality and the combination has improved chemo's vigour. This strain grows as a single cola and is the best choice in our lineup for those wanting a dedicated SOG plant. Vic High
Yields are average in SOG setup, 1 week veg time, will yield over a pound under 1000W. How much over is pretty variable. Popcorn buds are prevalent which can lower yields. Performs great in hydro. Autoflowering can occur without notice, be aware of it. Buds are generally quite dense at harvest, but again the popcorn effect can really diminish yields since your tops are not fully covered in bud. I don't know about the chemo, but I do know that C99 tends to have this effect, and since the flowers of B&B largely resemble cindy in other ways, I imagine this is probably another trait inherited from the father. I wonder if Vic has any suggestions for preventing popcorn buds? p.s. B&B is 8/10 for me altogether. Better than cindy in every way except rooting times for cuttings. Potency is above average, taste is great 9/10, aroma is very nice too; fruity when fresh, very strong and noticeable when burned. Yields are good, growth is very vigorous. B&B would be better if it did not have the autoflowering trait, was a smidgen more potent, and did not have the popcorn effect in bloom. This would make it a 9/10 or better. Of course finding a mother with all these traits is certainly possible if you plant enough seeds. Soilless Green I really only done most of my B&B growing with a single clone and I must admit that the one clone I've been growing is inconsistent from environment to environment. Last year it was incredibly impressive outside, but this year is seems to be falling behind the other strains planted out. Mind you, this may change by harvest. Indoors, it seems to like more light than my other strains. When smaller and with brighter light, I've gotten decent yields, but still nothing of romberry standards. Larger plants seem to get branchy but the plant seems lost in this form, especially under low light intensity (25 watts/ft) and yield suffers. This is for organic soil grows, actually all my experience is with organic soil. Heavy preflowering is a chronic problem of the chemo genetics. Drought stress will make it worse, as will NPK ratios weak in N. Allowing plants to become rootbound will also trigger flowering. The best solution with B&B or any genetics based upon my chemo is to maintain your mom in hydro where it can grow at full speed. It doesn't "hold" very well and it's better to maintain a high rate of growth and use frequent prunings to keep moms at a manageable size. I always set extra chemo clones to be sure I have enough that remain in veg modes. Clones in flower mode are rarely worth the effort. Vic High Good for pain relief and muscle spasms. Very good for insomnia or other slepping disorders. Grows well in and very well out. Jesus on Saturday, September 7, 2002 at 19:13:05 |
