OriginOregon, USA
BreederSensi Seed Bank
DescriptionBig Bud are from a bag Sly dropped off a few months ago. Another one similar to the J.H., NL, Afghan but with a bit more of a sativa influence.

Grows large and has a great yield and flavor. It's not quite as tall as the Jack Herer varieties (watch them if size is a concern the J.H.'s can get very tall!) but has more of a good blend of both sativa and indica. MG

This is full-bodied, with large bracts and will soon have you on your knees begging for more. This harsh overpowering lady simply gushes sticky resin. A word of warning: this powerful compact Indica has had a devastating effect on many a man, leaving them apparently whipped and beaten, with a strange smile on their faces. I just finished Sensi's Big Bud and it was not only a very heavy yielder but the taste, smell, and potency far exceeded my expectations; grew organic bio. Flowering was fast, 50 days. BTW, HBC's Big Bud couldn't touch Sensi's Big Bud. Sly

Very nice smoke, the Dutch Big Bud can be a good yielder like BC Big Bud but the high is superior in the BC Big Bud version. The leaves in the BC Big Bud variety are more sativa like. Marc

I can only relate my new experience with Big Bud. The seeds that I received from Marc, I bought 20 seeds, 16 germinated, 8 females, 6 now on bloom.

I can only tell you that I am amazed everyday by this breed. At 4 weeks into bud, the average top cola is 3 inches wide and 6 inches tall! I haven't seen a red hair, yet. Full of thick bushy white hairs. It just isn't slowing down, I am truly amazed!

Other plants going off at the same time seem slow in comparison. Several buds are 5 inches wide and 7-8 inches tall. I have been picking at my other plants (AK-47 and White Widow) because they are glistening with frosty crystals. I know that the potency will not be a problem with them.

The Big Bud looks so vegetable/broccoli like, that I haven't tried it yet for potency. It needs to get bigger! The seeds I have are fairly stable. One characteristic of the plants is that the leaves are not the usual 7 parts coming directly from a center stem.

The center part is by itself off the stem. The next two parts beside the center grow by themselves for 1/2 inch, then they grow two more parts, with two more (for seven total). Very weird for me. Buds are thick and hard, even at this stage. The buds are very dense in growth. I'm used to big buds on our outdoors sativa, but they are fluffy compared to this wonder bud.

My congratulations to the breeders of this variety. If the potency is there, I have a true winner in my search for the SOG winner. BTW, I have it crossed with a huge outdoors sativa, 2-3 lber called Holy Weed. Can't wait for summer and autumn to discover what the babies do. A-1

Big Bud is not a real ass kicking high, but I find it to be nice for a relaxing evening at home and the output is great, have not tried yet but have heard it can be hard to clone. Mota20

I grew Big Bud in a passive hydro system and had excellent yields, but the compromise was quality. BB is not particularly potent, it probably needs to be crossed with something like WW to improve this area, but if quantity and not quality is your aim, then go with Big Bud. P.S. it is quite easy to grow although I did have some trouble cloning it (lost about 10%). SuBorn

I grew some Big Bud for awhile. It was in hydro and I find most plants grow easily in hydro but the smoke was nice and above par for yield. Trelaway

I grew out my first BC Big Bud a while back. I'd avoided it in the past thinking it just a commercial mid-grade high yielder. But I really liked the stone. Clear, steady and a full three hours before waning. In hydro, no co2, I had a couple finish at the one meter mark and were comfortably over ounce/plant. Trelaway

I've been happy with the size of the yield of Big Bud before, however it isn't one of the most dank smelling varieties when you're in it for flavor it leaves a little to be desired, but if you're in it for size it's a contender. NL#5xSk#1 gives me a similar pull, with an incredible flavor boost! Dr. Trichome

Big Bud sucks! I'm growing it now. Have had 2 harvests. Very little smell and only a so so buzz. Got some C-99 beans for my next strain. Uncle Jed

Green Spirit (Big Bud x Skunk#1) big fat buds, good high, potency by today's standards is good, but not great, it's easy to grow, but it is a derivative of Big Bud one of the strains from the eighties so compared to White Widow or Jack Herer the potency lags a bit. The sheer size makes up for it, kinda. Webfish179

I think the potency kinda' sucks with Green Spirit, that incense is way too weak for my personal alter. Shiva
